We spent the nights of Oct 5-6 there this year. IMO the campground is very nice and of course all of the facilities are new. Didn't check out the bathrooms as we use our onboard facilities. Sorry, no pictures of the campground. Nice and dark there, so the stars were great.
The downside for us was that RVs aren't allowed to drive further than the campground. Since we don't have a toad, that meant either taking the shuttle, which was running only hourly at the time, or riding our bikes. After riding the bikes down the extremely steep gravel trail to get to the road, we decided that we didn't want to make the entire 8 mile loop to Schoodic Point and then back up another steep grade to the campground at the end. The loop road past the campground is one way, including bikes, so we were afraid to commit to a ride we might regret. Next year the shuttle is supposed to run half hourly, which would be much better.
Really nice campground, but I doubt we will go back. The main portion of Acadia on Mt. Desert Island is much more RV friendly and we had a great time there.
