The snowbird crowd is ageing
Seems to me in Texas the snowbird crowd is ageing, most are over 70 and many over 80. Every year more are too sick or old to make the trip and many have passed on. There are very few younger snowbirds...

The park I was at the last three months purchased six mobile homes and 4 park models. Rented or sold them all before they were set up. Rent on the park models is $1250 a month.
Price of fuel, the fact that the originals are now aging and are either flying down, leaving their rvs behind, or selling. Those between 55 and 65 (like myself) appear to be working longer. Like me, many may have left full time but will probably continue to do something part time or freelance.
Time for a change maybe. I think we will see more park and mobile models in the near future and it will be fly down. Less maintenance, no worries about fluctuating oil prices, or long drives. Just fun in the sun.
