Time is the great equalizer. While the mind may say that you can just run over that hill ahead, the body has a way of deciding when you slow down. It will be different for each generation, but no one gets out alive.
Our first few years of fulltiming we stayed in several different places during the winter. But slowly we started to extend the stay in the Phoenix area to be able to see one more concert, stay long enough to catch a few spring training games, etc. Then added up monthly lot rent against moving around a lot and decided that for 3-4 months it makes economical sense to stay in one place, recharge our batteries, get things taken care of with the coach, and then spend the other 8-9 months of the year moving every couple of weeks. Best of both worlds.
