The snowbird crowd is ageing
Seems to me in Texas the snowbird crowd is ageing, most are over 70 and many over 80. Every year more are too sick or old to make the trip and many have passed on. There are very few younger snowbirds...

Not to quibble, but it is generally agreed that World War 2 ended after Japan surrendered, somewhere around August 14, 1945. Germany surrendered a few months earlier.
Most of the troops came home after that, the guys found women and nine months later the first of the baby boomers were born. That puts the start of the baby boom at around October 1946. Census figures that were taken in some areas of the US during 1946 show the boom starting in Oct and November.
