Seems to me in Texas the snowbird crowd is ageing, most are over 70 and many over 80. Every year more are too sick or old to make the trip and many have passed on. There are very few younger snowbirds replacing them, seems anytime someone new under 65 comes in it is a rarity.
You guys are scaring me......wife and I are mid to late fifty-somethings and will be starting our first snowbird trip in a couple of weeks to sunny Florida. They're younger in Florida, right? :B
No, they just act younger, they're more active, and the sun and fresh oranges seem to be good for your health. Snowbirding is a lot better than sitting cooped-up in a house waiting to die. I started snowbirding in my 5th wheel about 6 years ago, and when I found a place I really liked, and the price was right, I bought a park model, and love it. We have more "winter friends" than we do friends at home. And, they are over the board age-wise.
