The snowbird crowd is ageing
Seems to me in Texas the snowbird crowd is ageing, most are over 70 and many over 80. Every year more are too sick or old to make the trip and many have passed on. There are very few younger snowbirds...

I can only attest to the people I know and their wealth is as much a matter of circumstances, marriage, inheritance, or just dumb luck as it is hard work and intelligence. Look at our grandparents who lived during the depression. Nobody ever worked harder for less in America. Circumstances, circumstances, circumstances.
I am not saying all wealthy people are dumb and lucky, but just because a person is not a Rockefeller does not make him dumb and lazy either. Snobbery is snobbery. I was lucky enough to see where the greatest retirement benefit for a working slob like me was and was able to take advantage of that circumstance.
