If you are coming from Glacier, using US 2 and seeing the north unit first makes a lot of sense. It is one of the least visited parks in the entire system. There was only one campground and when we were there, only the camp host was with us. Also, they were having an anniversary of some sort and one of the rangers brought a sheet cake in to share in the visitors center. Really laid back outfit and a great place to experience the park. We enjoyed both sections but preferred the north unit.
