It wouldn't seem like I would sleep through it either but these are pretty fast.
Fast and cheap
There are pretty much no safe locks anymore. I believe the best we can do is build in layers of protection so they go pick easier fruit elsewhere.
It's also pretty cheap and easy to use some very basic siren type motion detectors. $15.00 or so.
