  • Crystal Bridges Museum. Very high quality. Free!

Pea Ridge National Military Park. An interesting Civil War Battlefield. Your national parks pass will get you in.
  • X2 on the Crystal Bridges museum, even if you are not into art. The setting and grounds are spectacular with some American art thrown in. Best of all it's supported by the Wal Mart foundation, free entry and free parking. Stay at the Prairie Creek COE park, elec & water $23 (50 amp) with a dump onsite, right on Beaver Lake
  • Petit Jean definitely.
Another park I really like is Devils Den. Its pretty simple but very beautiful.
  • Fort Smith National Historic Site very interesting. We enjoyed it very much.
  • Two of our favorites in Arkansas are Petit Jean State Park and the Bentonville area. The Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art is not to be missed and rivals many big city museums. I wrote about Bentonville here: You Should Visit Bentonville. While in town, we stayed at the Bella Vista RV Village

There's a lot of really great hiking to be found in NW Arkansas. Hawksbill Crag is one of the most amazing, but not for the faint-of-heart.

    Have fun!
  • We enjoyed Fort Smith & nearby Fort Smith state park. The state park has FHU & a visitor center.
  • So many places to see & things to do! If you like folk music (blue grass) Mountain View is a must. We usually stay at Ozark RV Park (http://www.ozarkrvpark.com) which is next to the Ozark Folk Center State park. There is nightly jam sessions near the courthouse downtown, and the folk center has nightly entertainment that is outstanding. Eureka Springs is a neat little town lots of shops, in Benton, AR you can visit the Walmart Museum (yep there really is one, & it's free!), kind of interesting. All kinds of Corps of Engineers lakes with campgrounds & if you've got the "old man pass" pretty cheap. There is the Pea Ridge Civil War battleground which is interesting (you can also use the "old man pass" there). We love it down there, friendly people, and beautiful scenery.
  • Depending on which direction you are arriving or departing from Arkansas you might want to spend a night or two at: http://tomsawyerrvpark.com/ in West Memphs.
  • Petit Jean State Park is a beautiful park and worth a couple nights stay if you are in that area.
