thousand Islands or lake George ny
Looking to go to one of these areas in a couple weeks. Looking for input. Maybe some kayaking. Not into fishing. Wondering which is better. Thanks

Just came back from Lake George, beautiful spot and lots to do with the kids, but if you are looking for a quiet lake for kayaking, Lake George aint it, and neither is the Thousand Islands. Both are very busy with big boat traffic.
I would suggest Tupper Lake, Fulton chain lakes, Long Lake, or Old Forge. All would be much quieter. Also Lake Placid is nice and beautiful area...
