Where would be a good place to sell a western zone TT?
CL isn't bad. There's also places like membershipresale.com and rvonline.com. - myredracerExplorer IIDollar-wise, definitely worth it if you do a lot of nights camping. Depends on where you want to stay as well. Many CGS are in the east, south and the west, but nothing in a lot of states in the middle of the US. You may also want RPI or one of the others because on a long road trip you won't necessarily find a TT along the route.
We just bought a top-of-the-line pre-owned TT membership for under $1K. We're in BC and bought from a seller on CL in Arizona. You can buy a membership from anywhere in the US so look all over. Can be found at a very good price compared to a brand new membership. First thing to do when asking for info. from a seller is to ask for the membership number then call Thousand Trails and ask exactly what's in the contract. If the seller won't give you the number, forget it. We came across one like that and the seller was quite rude for us asking. All contracts are not alike so you must find out the specifics of each one. Being able to resell a TT membership depends on what's in the contract.
Here is a blog with lots of info. on buying a TT membership. rvlove.com DW is an accountant and spent many hours researching TT membership details online. If you are interested, send me a PM and I can give you our phone number and you can talk to her about what's she's learned and all the ins and outs. - ORbikerExplorerWhere would be a good place to sell a western zone TT?
- FKT4387ExplorerWe did it and barely broke even. We had issues with the campground near us as they never had availability. We found one really nice one and had a good time. It is only worth it if you use it a lot.
Watch out as most were first come first serve spots. - Old-BiscuitExplorer IIIOnly worth it if you use it .........frequently.
Using it depends on number of campgrounds available in 'zone' and if they are ones you would use.
RESALE is the only way to purchase a high dollar membership.
When we FTd we had membership that allowed us up to 14 night stays at $10/15 night. Well worth it cause we purchased RESALE and we used it often.
$500 purchase for 1 yr TT Zone pass is a pretty good deal.........figure $30 night----17 nights and you have broke even and rest of stays are 'free'
But that just for CGs in that Zone.
Nationwide---RESALES have better cost/benefit ratio
IF they are USED - gafidlerExplorerTT is a good deal if you use it, we spend between 150-180 days a year in TT. good deal for us, many resales out there. some are better then others. When you find one that you think will work for you, You can call TT with the member number and they will tell you what is included with that membership.
