We make the trip from Chattanooga, TN at least twice a year to north or central Florida and always plan a stop in South GA for overnight. We always make reservations and have stayed many times at Eagles Roost. Their sites are not well marked, so I wouldn't want to arrive after dark. Both the Tifton KOA and the I-75
(CG/parking lot) would be a good spot. I suspect unless you are able to leave before noon you will not get to Tifton before dark. OUR preference after a drive is a CG to relax in with at least water and electric hook ups.
