TN Permanent Site suggestion....

Hi, all! Matt here, in Ohio. My wife and I are giving thought to a move to middle Tennessee. We'll also be taking our 26-foot travel-trailer. Currently, it's parked at a nearby local campground. We'd be looking for another same-type situation, where we could keep it there, pay an annual fee, etc., but escape Nashville and go to the site to hang out, spend the weekend, etc.

Can anyone suggest a nice spot to look at? Could be as much as an hour away or so, but not too far that we wouldn't be able to make it there at a decent time on a Friday evening after work.

Thanks!

Matt

  • For Sale

Crossville area is a beautiful area. You may want to look at buying a lot, since the cost of living is cheaper in TN.
  • Check out Hillman Ferry Campground in The Land Between the lakes area. They have quiet a few rent by the year sites. Its about 1;45 from nashville.
  • Tennessee Hills Campground between Manchester and Murfreesboro
  • Someone mentioned Crossville--we have been there many times as we have friends there. We stayed a few times at Bean Pot Campground and I believe I remember that some of the folks were permanent.

Crossville is a really nice clean town--so much to see in the area, like Cumberland State Park (a beautiful waterfall there), Cumberland Playhouse, an old train depot, an alpaca farm, the Minister's Treehouse, and north of Crossville is the home of Sgt Alvin York.
