Hi,
Mail the drugs to a friend in USA.
That could have nasty legal consequences for your (former) US friend.
I agree. The border patrol agent said don't even think of getting someone else (like a visiting friend or family member) to bring more across, that's "drug smuggling". He also said if a family member or friend mailed a supply to me, it would be seized at customs.
I spoke to a pharmacy back in Canada, and the pharmacist said she would check into having it sent by courier.
In the meantime, my doctor from Canada called and said he didn't think I should increase the dosage of my prescription after all, so it looks like we're good for this year. There's still a question for next year.
We could try coming with the 5 or 6 month supply, maybe we'll never get asked again, I don't know.
I could be very reasonable about why I need this and, no, I am not going redistribute it to U.S. buyers...I need it all for myself, lol! Seems to me it's up to the discretion of the individual agent. The rule is there, not everyone enforces it. The agent was just making us aware of that. He didn't ask what we had and he didn't look at what we had. They didn't look in the RV at all, actually, other than coming up the steps inside to talk to us.
Here are a couple of links DH and I came across.

I noticed the words "rule of thumb". And "no more than personal use". To me that doesn't look hard and fast, and what we had was for personal use. My stash looks like a lot, but I take a lot of pills. I think I'm going to print this out.
