Our trailer was designed with boondocking in mind. 185W high voltage panel solar, Morningstar MPPT controller 150AH AGM battery. I supplied marine light fixtures with LED arrays. I substituted three speed computer case fans for the Fantastic Fan (less than one tenth the power draw and quiet). I also set it up to use water filters including a General Ecology so that I can pull water out of streams or lakes and make it potable. I use a Morningstar Sure Sine 300W inverter, high efficiency, no moving parts (fan) this self limits as to what can be powered, e.g. coffee made with a French press. I also use a Victron battery monitor to keep about the 50% SOC.
