This is an interesting thread with lots of good mods. My top 4 mods are:
1. Solar. This mod is leaps and bounds above all others. In the past 8 years I'm had hook-ups only twice. The best camping is when you can't see anybody else.
2. Yamaha XT225 (dual sport motorcycle) and carrier. I added two 1 1/4" hitches in the rear for stabilization. The cycle opens up another world of exploration and ease of getting around. No need in packing up the MH to go somewhere. Just completed a 7-week trip as far east as New Orleans. The motorcycle was perfect for city exploration. You can park it anywhere.
3. LED lighting. Power consumption is way down. I don't need any big capacity batteries. Average power consumption is about 35 AH/day.
4. Level indicators with inch calibration. Most of my camping is not on level ground. With these levels mounted right in the drivers compartment, I can quickly find a level spot for the rig.
