  • I have a list compiled by "another" source and here are a few that I think GS really missed:

    Madison Arm Resort-Montana
    Squaw Flat Campground-Utah
    Boyd's Key West-Florida
    Mt. Desert Narrows Camping Resort-Maine
    Horsethief Lake Camp Ground-South Dakota
    Yosemite Pines RV Park-California
    Rocky Knob Camp Ground-Virginia
    Durango RV Resort-California
    Holiday Cove Resort-Florida
    Normandy Farms-Massachusetts
    Bar Harbor-Maine
  • Ten/Ten/Ten is well and good, and I have had the pleasure to visit a few of the parks on the list; however, there are times I have gladly given up the paved road or the well placed signage for the comfort of a lovely park with a view, and a quiet atmosphere. But as noted by DogFolks maid service would be a nice touch. JMHO and Happy Trails.
  • Those ratings don't always equate to the best rv parks. Many of the ratings points are earned because a facility has a certain amenity, not necessarily because that amenity is the best of the best. For example, a pool is a point. If the best park in the world didn't have a pool it cannot be a 10/10/10. Also, a park with a 20x40 pool gets the same pool points as a park with a full blown 100 acre waterpark. Like always, any park rating is going to be more subjective than scientific.
  • The ones that were listed in Naples and LaBelle, Florida deserved it.

They are great, but for what they charge per day, they should provide room service and maids.
  • I couldn't find Disney World's Fort Wilderness on the list at all. Mickey is going to be upset, as well he should.

Guessing that list is ONLY Good Sam Parks. :W

Checkin' out Oregon choices on the list, the third park I clicked on is NOT a Good Sam park: Pacific Shores Motorcoach. I guess they check places out regardless of affiliation.

Side note: I'm mortified to find that no Park AT ALL in my own State of Washington finished with a perfect score!
  • Hello - I saw this post and thought I could help. The list of Top Rated Parks in the article refers to both Good Sam and non-Good Sam Parks, all of which attained a perfect rating score of 10/*10/10.

The total number of Good Sam Parks across North America overall is currently 2,156 and growing.
