I am in a gasser MH My first gas stop is the Indian reservation in Irving New York for gas as it is 30-40 cents a gallon cheaper than anywhere else around. I spend the first night a FlyingJ in Ohio just off 90
I then head down I77for Berlin and Millersburg, Oh home to the largest Amish community in the USA.
Have a meal among the Amish at Mrs Yoders kitchen and make sure to visit Heine's cheese factory hundreds of types of cheese for sampling. Berlin and Millersburg have lots of touristy type stops as well. Couple of campgrounds in the area but I usually overnight at the walmart in Millersburg. Lots of horse and buggy action.
The Walmart has built stalls for the Amish horse and buggys and it is not unusual to see the Amish shopping late into the night. The Walmart has things and foods you will not find at most Walmarts.
The US 62 to Columbus and on to Nashville, Tn. There are 3 CG near Camping World that have bus service into Nashville, Tn. STop and see the GRAND OL OPRY.
Then take the Natchez trace to Jackson Mississippi or Natchez, Ms. Free National Park service campgrounds along the way (no hookups) In Natchez dump and fill your TT for free at the visitor and convention center.
Then head south to Holly Beach, La which is near Cameron, La and right on the gulf. Park your trailer on the beach for a while or go to a trailer park. Great shelling. When you leave head toward Port Aurthur, Tx which is a nice drive with gulf views.
From there you can go to I10 and head to El Paso.
We may stop for a night or 2 in Deming which is New Mexico wine country. The state parks are the best place in or near Deming but there are a lot of places to stay. then get off at Lordsburg and take US 70 to Phoenix area. May stay a few days on the apache trail in the Tonto National forest.
Alternative for us is to get off at Fort Stockton and spend the night at the hilltop RV park then head up US 285 to Carlsbad (caverns) and Roswell and spend a day or two at Bottomless Lakes state park while we search for aliens Then US70 to 380 to US 60. On US 60 there is the big array searching for extraterrestrial life and PIE TOWN. At showlow get off US 60 and get on AZ260 to avoid the salt river canyon at payson get on 87.
Thats my routings and the one I take is dependent on weather
