The U.S. Constitution limits the Federal Government obtaining land only by sale per approval of a State Legislature and the use of that land is limited only for "Forts, Magazines, Arsenals, dock yards and other needful buildings." It can also own "territories" up to and until statehood is granted then title transfers to the state except in the above mentioned instances. Yet, 84 percent of Nevada is owned by the Federal Government. Is Nevada truly a sovereign state or is it still a territory?
I, for one, am not willing to surrender my freedom as a citizen for my freedom to camp for free.
