I am quite opposed to transfer of federal lands to states. I have worked and fairly paid my federal taxes for decades. I think the federal lands are as much mine as the citizens of any particular state. In my view, one of the best things about the U.S. is the system of lands available for anyone to enjoy.
I have made extensive use of federal lands in OH, PA, WV, NH, and VT. I am already planning to use the federal lands in the west when I retire in a few years.
I think if federal lands are transferred to the states, we will see the vast majority of the land sold.
If you are a hunter, fisherman, camper, hiker, etc., then your opportunities will be dramatically diminished.
