I am quite opposed to transfer of federal lands to states. I have worked and fairly paid my federal taxes for decades. I think the federal lands are as much mine as the citizens of any particular state. In my view, one of the best things about the U.S. is the system of lands available for anyone to enjoy.
I have made extensive use of federal lands in OH, PA, WV, NH, and VT. I am already planning to use the federal lands in the west when I retire in a few years.
I think if federal lands are transferred to the states, we will see the vast majority of the land sold.
If you are a hunter, fisherman, camper, hiker, etc., then your opportunities will be dramatically diminished.
You are absolutely correct that federal lands are as much yours as they are the citizens of any particular state. They sure as heck don't belong to a handful of state legislators in Wyoming.
PLEASE speak up for your federal lands. Email all members of the Wyoming House of Representatives and tell them to kill HB126 and HB142 tomorrow. You can find their email addresses at the link below. If you download the Excel file, you can copy all addresses into your email address bar and send the same message to all of them at once. It is easy and will take only a couple of minutes.

Don't let a bunch of greedy legislators take YOUR federal lands away!
