Romantic. 8<} We're headed to that area tomorrow (Sunday, 27July )for a week of Pass hoping. We'll camp in the trees on the bluff so. of the Virginia Lakes Road. A fairly rocky road getting in there. One year we snaked down the old mining road to 395 from there, which was a whole adventure in itself. We had to move boulders, lock up to grind through washouts, and double pump a lot of the dog-leg turns. Following that we'll head north with a quick trip to Bodie and back to the E. Sierra, moving north for more Pass Perusing to escape the heat. There is a chance of showers all week. I'm hoping the Sand Fire doesn't change our plans.
