Yellowstone Park is surrounded by farm communities. Not like large cities where peopoe work 5 days a week. These people take days off when work is slow. Not always on weekends. Basically the main crowds are tourists. I haven't seen campgrounds change that much on weekends. Unlike large cities where people go camping on weekends.
The towns in farming communities are the same way. Busy throughout the week as much as weekends.
