I have lived out of the majority of bad motels in the western US for decades as an environmental consultant.
The worst group to live next to are the oil field roughnecks. They start up around 0430 and like loud mufflers. They even park with the tailgate facing the door. They think nothing of idling for 40 minutes.
I agree that living in some RV parks is way too much like an apartment complex. The density is just too high. It creates problems. I live in the country and like the quiet so I camp in USFS campgrounds in the off season and boondock mostly.
