UP with hookups

Pick any state park in Michigan, just about all of them have electric. Most will not have water and sewer onsite, most will have a dump station and water on premises. Just pick an area, find a state park nearby, make your reservation online.

This last summer we were running the "Great River Road" and stayed at the "Mississippi Palasidades State Park" in Savanna Il. $15 per night with electric only. Water and dump station at the entrance. Nice place. Next night we stayed at the COE Blackhawk Campground in De Soto Wi. $13 per night with the America the Beautiful pass. Again electric only with water and dump station at the entrance. Also a nice place.

Check out Munising Tourist Park Campground on Lake Superior! Munising MI in the UP. Right on the shore. They have new FHU sites on the water as well as W/E only.

There are a lot of State Forest Campgrounds, but they typically have NO HOOKUPS !

At 1-3 days, most of the state parks (not state forests) will acccomodate you well.
- Generally they have electric.
- At 1-3 days, using the dump stations isn't a big burden and you don't have to be careful with water consumption.

We travel Northern Minnesota, UP, and Door County most every summer. Have to get out of the great humidity in SW MO.

We like our FHU sites, so most state, county, city parks are out. In looking at different places to its important to us to have reservations. I really like to know I have a place to put my head. Where you are wanting to go is very popular and sites get full very quickly.

In Door County WI we like Hy-Land Court https://www.hylandcourt.com/
They are in a good location to enjoy most of Door County

In the UP there are many things to see and do after doing the mackinac island stuff we found a great little park in Curtis called Log Cabin Resort https://www.uplogcabin.com/ Curtis being almost in the middle of the UP made seeing things very easy.

The city rv parks in Houghton and Marquette are FHU. Houghton is right on the water. Marquette sites are large and shaded and about 5 minutes from the lake.

The farther North you travel the fewer public parks if any will have EWS sites. You're there for the beauty and tranquility and many have decent shower houses.

Pictured Rocks RV park in Christmas MI, just outside Munising is an excellent park. While it's a commercial park the sites are not right on top of one another. It's only a few years old and the young couple who run it are extremely friendly. We've stayed there twice and had an excellent time both stays. If you really want to be isolated site #5 has trees on both sides. Munising tourist park is great but hard to get reservations for and the sites on the water are VERY close together.
