Sometimes extreme reviews can be useful, another example where I have read is where a whole bunch of reviews have come in on a very short time frame that doesn't fit the previous pattern. Usually those type reviews have few prior posted. This tells me something is going on at the campground, whether a staff member or someone there is actively trying to change the rating or some other agenda. For me this is a red flag to avoid.
