USFS campground fees?
Touring several nearby forest service campgrounds lately, I noticed one had some newer signs with rather large print, stating that campers must pay the day-use fee in addition to their camping fee... ...

Here is a novel concept. Rather than rely on folks who obviously disagree (though likely we are saying the same thing), why don't you just call the Forest Service and fine out what they have to say in regards to the campground of interest.
