- Jimf1234ExplorerTizer lakes is a nice trail that is right on I-15. It's about 40 miles north of Butte, it's the Jefferson City turnoff.
- 69_AvionExplorerWhen you get to Butte, if you go toward Missoula and then to Kalispell you will see some nice country. From Kalispell you can go to Libby, then Troy and into Bonners Ferry, Idaho.
- ArcticDodgeExplorerHad an epic 5 day riding adventure near the town of Featherville, ID. It's not too far from I-15. Baumgartner CG is an awesome basecamp! right on the S Fork Boise river and a killer hot spings pool! Many of the trails in the area are for A class riders and a couple trails for good average riders. It's also great for dualsporting around exploring the area. Especiallay after a gnary 30 mile single track trail ride the day before!
I'd absolutely find the experts on the area before planning a trip there after the significant fires that occured near Featherville last year. - The_TexanExplorerAnother area is in the Bryce Canyon area with hundreds of miles of trails through both the Bryce area and the Red Rock area. Riverside Resort has trails leading right from the campground and is the preferred CG for the Escapees when they hold their off road HOP there.
- johnnaExplorerThere are several good atv trails out of Filmore. Mountains to the east and desert to the west.
- Captain_ObviousExplorer5 mile pass is just west of lehi, ut. It's desert-like with lots of trails, roads, and "open" areas. Plenty of free camping. Just watch out for the mineshafts if you go off roads. It's worth stopping for a day or two to play.
- The_TexanExplorerIf you get over to the western side of Idaho, we have some awesome riding. Not the level of the Paiute trail out of Marysvale, which we ride at least every 2 years, but still awesome. We have mountain trails, desert trails, short rides and 100+ mile rides. We ride right from the house in Cascade, through town onto the trails.
- boogie_4wheelExplorerSkyline Drive, starting at the Bountiful, Utah Bountiful 'B'.
Located just north of Salt Lake City is Bountiful. On the mountain range to the East of I-15 you can see the large 'B'. That is the starting point of Skyline Drive. There is a couple acre dirt lot there to park and unload. You can run the 1-1.5 lane wide dirt road, or choose to go up the side of the mountain in to the tighter more 4-wheeler sized trails that will tie in to Skyline Drive.
You could burn tanks of fuel up there blasting around, but the benefit is to get to the top and overlook Bountiful/Centerville and also the Great Salt Lake to the West.
If you don't mess around and hurry to the top, 2hrs would be enough time. Or you could spend a whole day up there. On a weekday you will be lonely, on a weekend you will be climbing over others like the mice in a cage at Petco.
