Being a retired DOD employee I have used the MWR DOD rec areas a few times. Most of these are around very nice lake locations. All you need to do is show them your Issued CAC card. Even though the retired DOD employees have these privileges with the MWR we always yield to the retired service members. When we check-in we always have that info status on our check-in forms and have on a couple of occasions yielded our stay to let a service person to use the full-up facility. Been there done that haha...
We also have the SENIOR PASS and this gets us into alot of NATL PARKS that have entry fees. Also gives us a 50% discount on inside camp ground fees as well...
I am pretty sure there are some VA Hospitals that have RV SPOTS on the property to accommodate the family's visiting the hospital.
