Winter can be hit or miss. Less winds than the Fall, but if a cold front pushes through, winds can pick up in a hurry. I've seen 70 MPH gusts on Mt. Charleston (blew the tent the DW and I were sleeping in down, and led to the purchase of our first TT), and 65 MPH gusts with 40 MPH sustained winds at Nellis AFB (not far south of VOF). Again, just keep an eye on the weather. The winds are usually from the south and shift rapidly to the north as the fronts pass through, so picking a campsite with rocks that shelter in those two directions would be wise.
