We would like to spend a week in Vermont, park in one centrally located cg, and take day trips in toad from there. We have a 40' mh, prefer full hookups, 2 adults - so don't need kid friendly stuff at cg. Suggestions? Thinking mid to late July - very flexible - but summer or early fall. We use rv parks review, but would like input from the forum. Thanks so muchKathy

We really like Sugar Ridge RV Park in Danville. We also really like North Beach Campground in Burlington.

Lived in VT for 45 years. Both good suggestions. They are both in the north,one west, one east.Quechee Pine Valley KOA is centrally located on the east side. http://koa.com/campgrounds/quechee/ There really isn't much central on the west side.Never been there, but Lake Champagne Campground in Randolph gets good reviews.http://www.lakechampagne.com/Travel safe, and enjoy Vermont.

WE liked Quechee Pine Valley KOA. They have an older section on the hill and some newer sites at the bottom that are long level pull thrus.

Howdy! My recommendation is to NOT stay in one spot!!! You'd be doing a lot of driving to see all that VT has to offer if you were just at one end of the state or the other...but they would be pretty rides, even though they'd be slow! Look at Winhall Brook, a COE park in the southern part of the state (W/E only, tho...), and Moose River in St. Johnsbury, North Beach in Burlington (a bit tight but great location). Several others come well recommended up towards Grand Isle, but we stay at the State Park up that way. ST

Quechee/Pine Valley KOA was great. We stayed for a week last summer. Here is a review from our blog with pictures. There is much to do right in the immediate area.

We like Lake Dunmore. Really nice lake. Take a ride on route 125 to Hancock, Vt and follow route 100 north. The Granville Gulf is really nice, continue north and visit Sugarbush ski area. The town of Waitsfield is nice with shops and restaurants.
