- Mark_and_LindaExplorerThis is a great thread, never would have thought about the VFW"s having sites.
- fanrgsExplorerVFW in Johnson Village (Buena Vista), Colorado has 4 side-by-side, electric and water sites, but no dump. Cost is $10/night for a paved, back-in site with utilities at the back end. Sites are very close together, so wide slide-outs may not work, but our relatively narrow slide worked fine.
For more info, see the US 285 post on my blog HERE. - RE_ToddExplorerVFW in Alamogordo NM has 5 full hook up sites
- BoLynExplorerI contacted the VFW Headquarters in Kansas and they said they do not have a list, just contact the ones in the city I plan on staying. For example, my post does not have room for RVs. Heck we don't have enough room for all of the cars!!
Generally we travel to Arizona and Florida from Indiana. If I could find posts with parking I might adjust my route. - HorsedocExplorer IIWhich direction from Indiana? BIG country with a lot of VFW posts
- Tal_ILExplorerThe American Legion post in Speedway, IN (across the street from Indianapolis Motor Speedway) has electric only camping.

- doxiemom11Explorer III have read about Elks Club members staying at the clubs, but don't think I've heard of VFW or AL having overnight parking. Call a club in your area and ask if they have heard of it and if so, how do you find the ones that allow it.
