Ward Charcoal Ovens State Park

For some reason I can't find much about this campground at all. We want to go in the fall and I'm wondering if anyone knows if there is water available, flush or vault toilets, a visitors center?

  • Just re-read your post. Sorry... you weren't asking about hookups.

I did keep researching and found a review of the park on YELP in which someone says, "They have vault toilets, but they are clean."

Kept going and found this, "CAMPING
Willow Creek Campground is a 14-site campground with two large pull-through sites, one handicapped designated site and two vault type restrooms centrally located. Potable drinking water is available May through September from one hydrant located near the campground entrance."

It was on this web page: https://www.stateparks.com/ward_charcoal_ovens_state_park_in_nevada.html
  • On the Nevada State Parks website, it says this:

    Which parks provide hook-ups?
Hook-ups are available at Cathedral Gorge, Valley of Fire, Echo Canyon and Big Bend of the Colorado State Parks. Plans are to also install hook-ups at Washoe Lake, Spring Valley, South Fork, Kershaw-Ryan, and Ward Charcoal Ovens.

There is a webpage for the park http://parks.nv.gov/parks/ward-charcoal-ovensHERE.
