Wave of the Future?

It has never mattered to me what the taxes, fees, add-ons or whatever are. All that matters to me is the bottom line price. You are either satisfied with the value for the money or not. It's really that easy.

I think I'de be more upset being charged $8.00 ea. for my children!

From their rate page.
River front site $42.00. Site rate is for 2 people. Each person over 1 year old $8.00. My TT sleeps 10, so if all my family goes I have 8 people paying $8.00. 8x8 = $64.00 + $42.00 + $.75 for the slide = 106.75. So I missed it by $.25, and of course there is tax. Durn expensive. I can stay Oceanfront at Myrtle Beach for much less.

$43.50 a night, or even better $305.50 a week, for that view. We could do that! Thanks for the lead.

I noticed they used the word 'tipout'. I haven't seen that used in ages. This must be an old park with narrow sites.

We boondocked in the area on the river at an awesome spot for FREE! :) and had plenty of space for our slides.

In all my years of owning parks, I still cannot determine what actually costs the park more money, small RVs or big RVs. The big ones can use more electricity, but they are usually pretty efficient. A popup on a hot or cold night running an Air Conditioner or heater nonstop can pretty much keep up with the electricity usage of a big Prevost. I would bet the water usage is less on a big rig than that of the smallest rig because the owners of the big rigs will us the much more efficient showers and toilets in their RV whereas the smallest rigs use the park's facilities that have unlimited hot water, less efficient toilets etc. Plus people using the park's facilities use toilet paper, paper towels and have to be cleaned up after. That isn't the case with the people who use the facilities in their rigs. My years of experience leads me to the conclusion there really isn't any difference at all.

X-2, been across the country a couple time, have never heard of being charged extra for slides, sounds worse than a KOA, definitely have to bypass this one. :R
