One of our favorite places in WV to camp is Kanawha State Forest, just south of Charleston. The hiking trails are beautiful, numerous and well mapped. There is a variety of trails for short or day-long hikes. The campground has a feeling of being very primitive but with electric hookups. There is a lovely stream running through the campground. Beautiful place!
We have also enjoyed many state parks in the state and have loved them all!
