any place you like to Boondock?

  • It's a pretty sweet deal, though. You could just live in the park system the whole time :)

FYI, you have to be 62+ for this pass, sadly for those of us not there yet :)

Yep, your right. Didn't even think about it.

When you do get old enough to get the passes you'll enjoy them.

Just for clarification, I don't see the "Explorer" pass that's discussed above.

I think that path1 is referring to the Discover Pass that's required to use Washington State Parks, Fish and Wildlife and/or DNR lands.

Or, maybe the State has slipped another "tax" into the system.

Thanks...my bust. I have no idea why I called it that.
  • There are very few if any good spots to boondock in W. Wa.
  • We find that most all of the DNR roads on the wet side are gated and they will no longer allow you in the tree farms.

  • Don't you also have a camper?

The places we go are the end of logging road type thing or DNR land. Many times a large RV's won't fit into many places we go. Our state parks have the "off season pass" going on right now. $75.00 for the pass and good till March, use as much as you like? But $10.00 a day if you pull into site with any water or elec. During the week not to many people there. Kind of fun to pay for a campsite for 1 night or overnight somewhere and check out the county museum etc and next night stay at different place, repeat till you've had enough.
