Very rare, but do expect weather that will have a spell of cold, gray, and wet. So many get lured into thinking that the lower part of Texas will have the same weather as Florida (same latitude.) Many on this forum promote that concept attempting to say you get the same temps for a much lower cost in Texas.
In reality Florida has the Gulf stream bringing it's warm Caribbean waters north keeping Florida temps warm and constant. That is the reason snowbirds pay the premium to go to Florida. That is also the reason Texas is not overran with snowbirds, and the locals are very gracious to us.
