What are the best spots to camp in Texas in Winter?

We are planning to go down to Texas during the winter and are wondering where the great spots to camp are located. We love to be by water and beaches when we can, love National and State Parks, COE c...

We've gone to Mission and the general area twice in 17 years. We won't return. It's much too crowded for us.

We enjoy more scenic parts of our country. Our first choice is always a public park or boondocking. For winter we love Arizona and move around in the northern western states the other three seasons.
