Only one way to find out, book a stay for yourself.
If you've ever traveled to London there is a section of it which is run down and off to one side. It is slightly cheaper then greater London, but then again you get what you pay for. It's known as Kangaroo alley to tourist because for some odd reason the Australians started to hype it as the place to stay in London, so this is the section that most Australians book at when visiting.
Sometimes I think Mission should be called RV.Net Alley for the hype it gets here. Nothing wrong with Mission, just there is so much more to select from if you don't treat this forum as absolute gospel, but more as a fuzzy roadmap.
If you think there is something there, then you really need to see for yourself. Just make sure you book the best park you can since it will play a major role in your enjoyment, and what you take away from the RGV. Like I said, some love it, others can't leave fast enough.
