- PadlinExplorerPrivacy and quiet, but mostly privacy. If I lived out west we'd be staunch boondockers.
- dahkotaExplorerWe have three campgrounds we visit frequently and they all have three things in common: an amazing view, a very large site, privacy. We book them multiple times each year, up to a year in advance. Two are national parks (dry), one is a state park (electric only).
- atreisExplorerA variety and sites and a variety of things to do. The one that surprised us is Whitewater Memorial in IN - it's the only park that we go to every year.
- down_homeExplorer IIEnvironment and staff and others. We encountered a large Family that gets together, at one campground, the same time, as our own reunion every year.
We didn't go this year but enjoy their company. - magnusfideExplorer IIWonder why you're asking: are you going to build a campground or buy one?
First and foremost: I bypass Reserve America cgs as much as possible.goducks10 wrote:

For me, it's trees & vegetation and room between sites. I don't like being piled in one on top of the other.

Clean baths, good sized sites (no sardine style cramped camping) and low rates. Not interested in fancy schmancy amenities as we do sight-seeing in the areas in which we camp. - CroweExplorerLocation, location, location, pool (sometimes), level, large sites, good staff, easy access but not on top of highway, RULE ENFORCEMENT.

And not parked next to cousin Eddy like last weekend:) - Pine_BarrenExplorerSince most of our camping is weekend camping distance is one thing we look at. We also like a nice size site with shade. Trails to hike, places to swim and or fish. Being from Northwest Florida we have alot of them to choose from but mostly stay with the state parks. Big Laggon in Pensacola is one of our favorites along with Rocky Bayou in Niceville, Kruel Lake and Bear Lake in Blackwater river state forest and Grayton Beach or St Andrews state park. Done alot of camping with the kids while they were growing up and now we get to take our grand kids
- Bill___KateExplorerWe are coastal oriented, and love a "room with a view". I site that backs onto the water is what we look for - Frisco Woods, NC, Bahia Honda and other Keys places, the Florida COE Campgrounds along the canal, Low-Key Resort, St. Andrews, etc. Having dog friendly beaches and restaurants nearby are a big draw also .....
