Forum Discussion
- pawattExplorerThere is a Very, Very active full Timers group on Facebook, 100's of posts a day.
- Deb_and_Ed_MExplorer III have always liked this forum - having seen what lax moderating produces on other forums or places like FB - eeeeks. But this is our 5th year as Snowbirds, and while we do a little camping on the side, we're pretty much settled into a routine that works for us. And since we're NOT sitting in cold, dreary west Michigan, I'm simply not on the computer as often....LOL!

This use to be such an active forum with lots of people exchanging tips on making it to winter destinations, etc. What happened?
I believe you could say the same thing about the FTer forum or even the class A forum. Social media is replacing old style forums like this one. RV.Net is not smart phone friendly or even user friendly for that matter.
You also have the fact that this is an RV forum yet many of the snowbirds in it are not mobile and go to the same park year after year after year. - bighatnohorseExplorer IIAfter a few years of snowbirding and reading the forum, there isn't much left that's new anymore.
And, time on line is divided - spending more of it on other forums or groups on Facebook. - AcampingwewillgExplorer II

I feel like whenever someone posts to rv.net, the first response is a link to the search box. It’s very unwelcoming.

I agree. By that logic very little needs to be asked......just search for it. Who needs forums. This problem is pretty universal on all forums
I think that was the point I was trying to make....if you have enough time to say "use the search function" why not just add something to the conversation. Just my opinion....doesn't carry much weight! - wrktfshExplorer

I log in just about every day to get my camping fix. It is interesting to read about what some people consider a minimum sized truck and TT or MH. I guess that my wife and I are minimalists and enjoy every mile of it,
I agree that the slowdown is probably seasonal.
But this section 'heats' up in the winter as that is when Snowbirds travel, etc. One would expect next to nothing during the summer, but this year is seems very, very quite.
Noticed that our park is not 'full' yet, and several Park Models are up for sale (and are very old and don't seem to sell) so expect a few sites to be back for RVs before long. - 185EZExplorerThey deleted another post of mine.
Not sure what their deal is
No wonder this forum is dead.
