First have fun. To me the Lincoln Memorial is the most moving thing I have ever seen. Do as much as you can but you can't do it all. If you are just looking at the White House, that is quick, if you are looking for a tour if they even still do that it will take awhile. If there is a line at the documents building that will take awhile. Many things are quick, 30 minutes here and there. The museums will take a half to full day depending on how detailed you want to be. The American one is the most fun to us although the air and space was good as well. Have a great time.
