I don't think you can visit the Smithsonian in three days if you were there 24hrs/day.....2-3 days in DC? takes you that long to find a parking spot! Using metro is the best idea but to see what you want to see properly will take at least two weeks....If you decide to cram all that into 3 days, you're not going to be happy with that 5 yr old and they're not gonna be too pleased with you either....just sayin......Dennis
