We did it with two 7 year old boys. We used every single bit of 3 days...before sunrise until 10pm each night. Walked until our shoes had holes and still saw just a small fraction of the sites.
That being said, it was one of the best 3 day trips we've ever done! Do the best you can and have a blast. We couldn't believe how interested our boys were.
