A well designed, clean, and well managed RV park will be successful whether it is packed side to side or spaced out with a lot of room between sites as long as there is something to attract RVers to that area. That is obvious by the majority of RV parks of both types generally being full or nearly full most all the time. Many don’t care how much room there is as they are rarely outside anyway. They simply want a convenient place to stay to accommodate the reason they are in that area before they move on. That’s what makes it so great. One size does not fit all. Find one that meets your needs and let others do the same for theirs.
