Have stayed at Hot Springs. It is a nice CG, but I wouldn't want to stay there 3-4 days.
Was at Canyonlands in May, and all I saw were very small campsites. I mean tent or truck camper size. BTW, the "season" in Moab is now April and May.
Reservations are going to be necessary at any place I would consider a "destination" . That is just the age we live in.
