Our four favorites in no particular order:
Grand Teton NP Colter Bay Campground, WY--in the tree-shaded electric sites nearest Jackson Lake; saw moose wading in the shallows of the lake early one fall morning and elk can be seen all over the meadows north of the town of Jackson.
Capitol Reef NP Fruita Campground, UT--in late summer-fall, herds of mule deer feeding on the fruit falling from the trees that shade the entire north campground loop; no hookups.
Canyonlands NP, UT--not in a NP campground, but in the electric sites at Dead Horse Point State Park, which is surrounded by the NP; the views from the campground are absolutely some of the best in the West; only saw a few deer and eagles, but we weren't there for the wildlife; take plenty of water as there is none available for RVs at the state park.
Jasper National Park Whistler's Campground, AB--a whole herd of elk grazing on the campground grass right outside our RV door and a bull standing in the middle of the entrance road when we tried to leave; tree-shaded sites with electric hookups and water available at a multi-lane dump; convenient to many other gorgeous sites within this huge park, including seeing and photographing mountain goats and bighorn sheep not far off the highway.
