FREE: Coeur d'Alene Casino Resort a few miles south of beautiful Coeur d'Alene Lake and I-90 on US 95 in Idaho. Electrical hookups in a paved, landscaped parking lot are free until July 1, then $20 per night (but with a $15 "Extra Play Cash" credit). However, there is no water or RV dump, but can dump for a "donation" at a very new, three-lane dump next to the sheriff's office in north Coeur d'Alene.
Idaho is one of the best states for free dumps that we have camped in. Nearly every small town has one, so check out the Web when planning your route. About the longest distance we had to carry anything in our holding tanks was 25 miles after leaving Craters of the Moon National Monument, which has water but no dump.
Best $10 FHU campground: Cow Hollow Park in a very rural farming area NW of Nyssa, Oregon. It is a 20-acre Malheur County park located south of I-84, with 21 camping sites on gravel or grass, big cottonwood trees shading some sites, group picnic areas, and ball fields. Cow Hollow was a CCC camp in the 1930s, then a Japanese-American relocation camp during WWII.
