- HnMExplorerSt. Mary's is nicer if you want to "white knuckle" from the west side (and back).
We found KOA West Glacier very nice and well located, but not in the same league with St. Mary's. - Highway_4x4ExplorerI am starting to do my search for a Aug of 15 trip there. I would really like elect. My TT is 30 ft. I am coming from the west side and a Private CG would be OK but I want to stay in a very nice place as I have driven a long way to get there.

I just returned from a trip to Glacier and discovered that highway 49 on the east side of the park is marked at the north and south end of the road as being limited to vehicles with a maximum length of 21 feet. This fact is not noted on the NPS map for Glacier.
We just returned from a weekend at St. Mary, and drove Hwy 49 to and from the campground in our 26 foot Springdale. We saw the sign on the way back and decided to continue on since we successfully navigated the road on the way in. It's a scary road with no guard rails, but easy to navigate.
We liked St. Mary Campground.
Here was our view from the C Loop...
Here is a sunset view from space C106. We plan to reserve this site next year for our return trip. - linnemjExplorerWe are planning a trip to Glacier in August, 2015. I plan to stay on the east side of the park. St. Mary's is the only campground to take reservations. With a 30' trailer, even getting to Many Glacier or Two Medicine campgrounds early I am afraid to find no sites that will accomodate us.

If you go to Google maps Satellite view, their are several class A's & 5'ers well in excess of 21 feet in Two Med CG, also when going to street view, I can't find any length restriction signs, I did however see the tunnel at the East Park entrance, height marked 13.0'.

After a little digging I did find a review where it stated a restriction north of the park on 49. - TenOCNomad

St. Mary Campground on the East side.
In the middle of almost all the POI's on the east side. You can day trip the Going to the Sun Road. Day trip to Waterton Lakes National Park in Canada.

Is the only way into Two Medicine campground from highway 2 to the south? From what I can tell, coming in from highway 89 to the north, via highway 49, would not be doable as it is reportedly very narrow and curvy. I have a 30 ft Class C.
With a truck camper towing a Jeep, I found no problem with HWY 49 or 89. - paul373ExplorerIs the only way into Two Medicine campground from highway 2 to the south?
