For many people it's not about camping and the woods
It's about travel, it's about destinations, about sight seeing
But coming back to their own bed, not using hotels
It's a different choice
I agree that many do not fully utilize the self containment features,
And could avoid some hassles by doing so
But that is their choice

Recently while camp hosting we were notified by the local water department that they had a major line leak and would be shutting our water off totally at 7:00am the next morning for 8-10 hours. I rounded up another one of the hosts and we went opposite directions around the camp ground and notified the campers that the bathhouse would be closed and locked at 7:00am the next morning. All understood except one lady who asked "where am I going to go to the bathroom". She was in a 40' motor home. I suggested that her motor home had a "bathroom". She replied "I don't do that in my RV". I don't know what she ended up doing, but to have the facilities and not use them doesn't make sense to me either.
I locked the bath house at 6:00am just to make sure nothing was deposited that couldn't be flushed in case the water department started early.
